‘Air-mazing’ Jetstar sale boasts flights for $43 ✈️

‘Air-mazing’ Jetstar sale boasts flights for $43 ✈️

Dozens of routes on sale including seven for less than $50.

This very aptly dubbed ‘air-mazing’ Jetstar sale drops prices on domestic flights to as low as $43 and international from $135.

Like most sales, including the recent Virgin Australia sale we shared with you, the cheapest flights are between Sydney and Ballina-Byron. The lowest-priced international flight is $135, between Darwin and Bali, but the return is just $71 baking the roundtrip-price a cool $206.

You’ve got to get in quick though – some of the routes are already sold out!

Where can I travel from?

Great news; there are discounted flights from every Australian airport Jetstar flies from, with flights available to plenty of holiday destinations such as Hamilton Island, Uluru, the Whitsunday Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

While the list of all flights is extensive, we were excited to see a whole bunch that were available for less than $50 each way, including:

  • Sydney to/from Ballina-Byron … $43
  • Sydney to Melbourne (Avalon) … $45
  • Sydney to/from Gold Coast … $47
  • Melbourne (Tullamarine) to/from Launceston … $47
  • Melbourne (Tullamarine) to/from Hobart … $49
  • Adelaide to/from Melbourne (Tullamarine) … $49
  • Gold Coast to/from Newcastle … $47

When is this cheap Jetstar sale available?

Travel dates vary a bit, but most domestic flights, as well as Fiji and Japan, are available from mid-July to mid-September, and then again from mid-October to mid-December.

If you’re flying to Phuket or Seoul, you can travel from late-April to early-June and mid-July to mid-September (plus early October to late November for Korea-bound flights).

Perfect for ski season, New Zealand flights are available from April to November, with a slight variation in availability depending on which city you’re flying to.

What’s included in the price of a Jetstar sale fare?

Not much! Jetstar just includes the guarantee of a bum in a seat and a carry-on bag in its ‘starter’ fare.

If you want extras, like checked baggage, meals or a choice of your seat, you’ll need to pay for it. Prices vary depending on the length of your flight and whether it’s domestic or international.

Can I get any frequent flyer points?

Only if you opt for a higher-than-starter fare.

Jetstar doesn’t have its own frequent flyer program, but some fares do allow you to collect Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

However, opting for the fare that lets you get them can literally double your fare in some cases, so it’s best to check if it’s actually worth it.

(For more expensive fares, the upgrade to a ‘Plus’ fare is much less — around $75 each way — but it still can add quite a bit to your overall ticket price.)

How to book this flight

Hop on over to Jetstar’s website to see a full list of fares and to book a flight that’s part of the ‘air-mazing’ sale. But hurry! It ends at midnight on 23 March, 2023.
