When are these cheap flights available?
While availability does range from as early as March to as late as November, prices on many routes fluctuate a bit, or have black-out fates depending on when during that time travel.
For example, the Adelaide to Shanghai route is available for most of the travel window, except for the few weeks around school holidays.
However, if you’re travelling from Sydney to Ahmedabad, the travel window at the cheapest rate is just a few short days in November.
What’s included in the price during a Qantas sale?
You’ll get the same full-service inclusions on these flights as you would with any Qantas fare. That means you’ll get:
- Checked baggage
- Guaranteed seat on the plane (or a selected one if you’re a frequent flyer member)
- Meals and drinks served during the flight
- Access to the in-flight entertainment system
Can I get any frequent flyer points?
Yep! All flights qualify for Qantas Frequent Flyer points, whether they’re on sale or not.
Overall, how good is this Qantas sale?
They’re fair. We’re not super wowed by these prices, but it’s in line with that Qantas has been offering lately. If you’re a loyal frequent flyer and are heading to these destinations anyway, it could be worth locking it in during this sale.
Prices are pretty similar to what we’ve seen recently from the airline:
- International Qantas sale from $489: This sale also included flights to destinations like New Zealand and the South Pacific (hence the lower lead-in price), but the cheapest flights to destinations also included in this sale were on par. It included Perth-Singapore flights for $638
