What is Club Jetstar anyway?
It’s Jetstar’s paid-for membership program that’s open to anyone to join and it comes with a bunch of benefits for travellers.
What are the Club Jetstar benefits?
As a member, you’ll get:
– Early access to sales
– Special members-only flight sales, including discounts on non-sale fares
– 20% off checked baggage and seat selection fees
– Partner offers, including travel insurance and car hire
All of the above applies not only to you as the member, but others travelling in your party too.
How much is Club Jetstar?
It’s $65 per year to become a member, as of time of publish. It’s been the same price for a couple of years now, but it’s unknown if it will increase anytime soon.
Is Club Jetstar worth it?
We think so! And have saved hundreds over the years by being a member.
But if you’re not sure, there is a handy calculator on Jetstar’s website showing an estimated savings of about $85 for someone who travels with one other person at least twice a year.
And here’s an example of that. As we mentioned on our guide to finding cheap flights, the savings can add up pretty quickly This flight between Perth and Auckland is $22 cheaper (one way) for a member. If you’re travelling with one other person, that’s $44. Book a round trip ticket, and that’s now $88 — more than the price you would have paid for your membership.
How do you get a membership for free?
Unfortunately, there aren’t any loopholes that let you get a free membership. But, that’s not to say you won’t ever be able to get it cheaper.
Jetstar has previously offered deals on its membership, especially during birthday sales. For example, for its 18th birthday, you were able to pay just $18 to become a member.
Are there Club Jetstar exclusive fares?
Yes! Fares that aren’t part of a sale are often $10-$20 cheaper for members.
Occasionally the airline will also have member-exclusive sales that don’t ever become available to the public. Usually, there’s a 24-hour window for members to book, and then sales open to the general public.
