Take off to paradise with Jetstar for less than half the price of other airlines.
Move over, Bali. Step aside, Fiji. There’s a new tropical island for Aussies to explore that’s just become a whole lot more affordable to get to. The latest Jetstar sale, which is an extended Friday Fare Frenzy through the weekend, has delivered Cook Islands flights from just $249 each way.
We compared these fares to other airlines and found they were less than half the price of flights with Air New Zealand — which aren’t even direct!

When are this cheap Cook Islands flights available?
You’re able to fly to Rarotonga between August and November 2023 and then again from April to May 2024. Within the 2023 travel window, mid-September to mid-October isn’t available as its school holidays.
What airline is this flight deal with?
What’s included in the price?
Like most Jetstar sales, these prices are just for “Starter” fares, which don’t include anything but the guarantee of a seat on the plane and up to 7kg of carry-on luggage. If you’re looking to check a bag or eat on your flight to Rarotonga, you can either add on these things individually or opt for a higher-tiered fare.
Can I get any frequent flyer points?
You aren’t able to collect any points with the starter fare, but if you upgrade to a Plus or Max fare, you can collect Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
What’s the catch with this Jetstar sale?
Unlike most international Jetstar flights, its Cook Islands-Australia routes don’t seem to be cheaper than the outbound tickets. While it’s not by much (about $10-$15), we’re very used to seeing this go the opposite way.
For example, the outbound flight from Sydney to Rarotonga is $249, but the return flight is $261.
How to book these flights
Head over to Jetstar’s website to book these flights, or check out an aggregator like Skyscanner or Kayak to see if any third party sites are selling it for less. (Just watch out for any extra ticketing and credit card fees which can quickly add up!)
When to book: Before the end of the day on Monday, 3 July, 2023.
