Australia’s favourite airline has just dropped a massive sale with dozens of destinations going for great prices. Head to the South Pacific from just $489 return, Asia from $638 return or head further abroad to the USA from $1,119 return.

Where can I travel with this Qantas sale?

From the South Pacific to South America, Tokyo to Texas, there’s dozens of destinations on sale worldwide.

Of course, the cheapest flights are going to be the shorter ones, with flights to the Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Bali coming in at the lowest prices. Flights to New Caledonia are the absolute cheapest, starting at just $489 return, followed by New Zealand from $529 return.

When are these cheap flights available?

Generally, February to November, but exact availability depends on the route.

School holidays and major public holidays generally aren’t available at the sale prices (nor are flights the week before/after).

What we love though about the travel dates is…

• New Zealand flights are available during peak ski season in July and August
• You can escape the Australian winter and travel to places like New Caledonia and Fiji from June to September (excluding school holidays)
• USA flights are available during the peak summer season in the northern hemisphere

Overall, how good is this sale?

Great! Qantas does tend to be more expensive than Jetstar or Virgin because it does come with plenty of perks like checked baggage, so we wouldn’t be comparing apples to apples if we put them side by side.

But, compared to other Qantas fares, we believe these are worth booking. Considering that there are more than 80 international routes included for less than $1,000, there’s also a great variety to choose from.

Head over to the Qantas site, or compare prices on a comparison site like Kayak. Prices may be cheaper if you don’t book directly. For example, we found the Sydney-Auckland flights listed at $329 on the Qantas site, but through Kayak they’re going for just $522.
