How does this week’s Jetstar Friday Fare Frenzy stack up?

While it’s a trimmed down version, these prices are pretty decent. It’s also very refreshing to see Singapore and Seoul thrown into the mix, especially at such competitive prices. These rates are usually only seen with Asia-based budget airlines such as AirAsia or Scoot.

What to know about Jetstar Friday Fare Frenzy

When is the Jetstar Friday Fare Frenzy sale and what time does it start?

Jetstar’s sale is on just about every Friday, from 12pm to 8pm.

Occasionally, if the airline has another sale on, it will skip the weekly Friday sale.

Better yet, sometimes it will even extend it to be a weekend fare frenzy, where you’ll have until either the Sunday or Monday night to book.

Does Jetstar have Friday Frenzy every week?

Not quite. If there’s another sale on that runs over a Friday, Jetstar will skip its usual Friday sale. (If you don’t want to miss a non-Friday Fare Frenzy Jetstar sale, check out our Jetstar deals page where we share all Jetstar sales).

Are the Friday Fare Frenzy sales any good?

To be blunt, yes and no. We analyse every Jetstar sale we write about and compare it to previous ones and other airlines to see if it actually is a decent deal.

Some weeks are certainly better than others, but if you keep watch (or if you keep watching this page), you can score a stellar deal. Lately, flights have been going for $29 to $39 each way for the cheapest fares, which is in-line with the lowest Jetstar seems to go these days.

If you’re looking for an international flight, these probably aren’t the best sales for you. Jetstar rarely includes overseas flights in these sales. But, rarely isn’t never.

Is Friday even a good day to book a flight?

If the price is right, yes!

We’ll often see articles highlighting the best days to fly but not necessarily the best days to make your booking. But it’s the latter that we’re focusing on here and we needed to do some digging to find it.

According to NerdWallet: “The reality is that flight prices change constantly and at all hours of the day, adjusting to real-time demand. Airlines don’t restock on the same day every week like a grocery store, so you won’t find deals by waiting until Tuesdays to book. However, you might find some modest savings if you’re willing to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday, when there’s less demand than usual.”

What do Jetstar fares include in the Friday Fare Frenzy sales?

All of Jetstar’s sale fares are for “Starter” fares, which only include the guarantee of a seat on the plane and up to 7kg of checked luggage.

You can always add on extras (for a fee) to our fare, like checked bags or seat selection, if needed.
