The latest Qantas flight sale has just about every city on the Australian airline’s network discounted, with fares starting as low as $109 each way. The cheapest fares are for flights between Sydney and Ballina-Byron Bay, but other routes start at just $10 more, including fares between Melbourne and Launceston.

When are these cheap flights available?

April to September, which is perfect for an autumn escape or a winter getaway to a warmer, northern clime. Destinations in northern Queensland, like Hamilton Island and Cairns, or the Top End and WA coast, like Darwin and Broome, are all included, and make perfect warm weather getaways in the depths of winter.

Overall, how good is this sale?

While we’d love to see fares under the $100 mark, these are pretty in-line with the Qantas Christmas sale from just a few months ago, which also had fares starting at $109 each way.

Although, back in October 2023, there was another surprise sale where fares did start at $99 each way – including the Sydney-Ballina Byron route.
