Frequently asked questions about group tour costs

How can I save money on a group tour?

There’s a few things you can do to save money on your trip:

– Most tour companies will have a “deals” section on their website where you’ll be able to find discounted tours. They’re usually for relatively last-minute departures
– Book your trip during a popular sale period, like EOFY, Black Friday or Boxing Day when they’re discounted.
– Travel with the same company again, and again. Many will have a return traveller discount of 5-10%.

Is it cheaper to book a tour last-minute or far in advance?

While “it depends” really isn’t the answer you’re looking for here, often it does.

What you’ll most likely find in the sale section on tour company websites are last-minute deals, and they can be available for quite the discount.

But, tour companies also tend to feature early bird sales to try and fill up group tours further in advance.
