Where can I travel from?

Any Australian city that Virgin Australia flies from. They’re all included in this sale.

But… if you’re looking at the $55 fares, as with almost all Virgin Australia sales, the cheapest flight is between Sydney and Ballina-Byron.

When are the flights in this Virgin Australia sale available?

Most domestic flights are available May to November, with exact dates varying a bit depending on the route.

There are some blackout dates to consider, like over long weekends or during school holidays.

For the international routes, they’re mostly available in November and December, with a few also offering flights earlier in the year between May and July.

What’s included in the price?

Just the guarantee of a seat on the plane, unfortunately. Virgin doesn’t include checked luggage, in-flight meals or the option to select your seat’s location in its base fares. This includes international routes.

So if you do want to get those extras, you’ll either need to add them on for an additional fee or book a fare class that isn’t “Lite”.

Can I get any frequent flyer points?

Yes! All of the flights in this sale qualify for Velocity points.
