Travelling over to the West Coast just got a whole lot more affordable with the latest Virgin Australia sale dipping flights to cities like Perth and Broome down to as low as $149 each way. That’s Jetstar-level cheap! (Actually, it’s almost $100 less — we checked!)

Curiously with this sale, it seems that the further you’re travelling from, the cheaper the flights are.
Here are the routes you can fly for less than $200 each way.
- Sydney to Perth … $149 each way
- Cairns to Perth … $179 each way
- Adelaide to Perth … $189 each way
- Darwin to Perth … $199 each way
More fares are discounted and you can take off to Perth from most major cities in Australia that Virgin Australia flies to. You’ll also be able to book intrastate flights to Broome, Newman and Port Hedland
When is this cheap Virgin Australia sale available?
You’ll be able to travel at these prices if you depart between July 2023 and March 2024. Unfortunately major school and public holidays are excluded from the promotion.
If you are hoping to travel during the holidays, you may want to check out this deal for 5% off Virgin Australia flights that are excluded from other sales.
To lock in these prices though, you’ll need to book before midnight on 28 May, 2023.

What’s included in the price?
Virgin doesn’t include much in the cost of its sale fares these days. With the ‘Lite’ fare, you’ll just get the guarantee of a seat on the plane, a carry-on bag and access to the in-flight entertainment. You’ll also get tea or coffee onboard.
If you do want to choose a seat and bring a bag, it may be worth opting for the Choice ticket, which starts at $40 more each way.
Can I get any frequent flyer points?
Yes! You’ll be able to earn both Velocity points and status credits with these fares.
